Rebirth
The wind sweeps all before it like a scythe,
Verging as it does upon the brink of a ruinous fall.
Below and beyond stretches a chasm of unseen depth
Disappearing into the mists of obdurate saline spume
That cluster hysterically, like ghosts upon a yawning crypt.
Strangely without fear, shadows leap into that blackest void,
Congealing flows spattering in the softest fluidic mass
Of oceanic skin as the canyon walls close and converge
Upon the intrusion, wave crests undulating, seething
In the wake of molten lava spewing forth from heated depths.
The restless seas receive the steaming seed with eager desire
Closing upon it as it explodes into shivering tendrils of
Flaming, chaotic magma. Orgasmic shudders of completion
Rend the frenzied mating rituals of Earth and Ocean
As the endless cycle of rebirth is begun anew.
