A betrayal once thought so unforgivable,
began to rapidly unwind.
Unleashing long pent up emotions.
A moment of unrelenting weakness.
A heart once so pained, a love so lost,
begins to feel the weight,
of your love pulling it down,
into the undertow of lustful desire
Leaving me to gasp breathlessly,
as if my lungs were full of water.
A devious smile from you before yanking out,
the invisible arrow used to pierce my heart.
Producing a newly opened wound of love,
so enchanting it’s like a mere dream in my mind,
the ultimate romantic poetry, all consuming.
Leaving me drowning in my own blood.
