He saw the clouds rolling over the ridge so dark black,
Then mentioned to his horse we oughta head back.
The thunder clouds had taken a frightening shape,
Was quickly covering the country like a batman cape.
He wondered if his maker had sent this to him,
He hadn’t rolled as straight as a tire on the rim.
Growing up life was unpredictable, wild, untamed,
Had been a couple horses he’d intentionally lamed.
It was because of fear that he’d done such things,
When the clouds parted he heard the angel sings.
He feared the devil might have his soul condemn,
Not what God had in store as he walked to them.
No words were said their was not any needed,
Peace they felt inside had been specially seeded.
Quickly darkness went away the clouds rolled on,
They felt something warmer then the rising sun.
Pair of horse and rider had confessed their sins,
This is what God intents when your new life begins.
