Teach me to become all who I am.
May I turn the key to unlock Your sage text.
Grant me an understanding of this, Your world
that I will merit my portion in the next.
How frail are we by Your hand You formed
while expecting from us so much in return.
that even upon my efforts spent
the depth of Your well I cannot discern.
Struggling to live life worthily of Your breath
my soul into me You did breathe,
fault me none too severely when I lapse,
from this world when its my time to leave.
My fabric is torn, it I need mend
I sew but to no avail it doth seem.
Fashion my stitch with thread of stronger weave ...
May I merit in Your eyes "orech yamim".*
*orech yamim": length of days
