*“Tzuri”
Teach me to be whoever I am.
Share the secrets of Your sage text.
Shape me into a vessel for thy purpose serve
my portion may I merit in the next.
Your mitzvos guide me along the path,
chasing them lest I lose my way.
I endure by the strength you provide me,
the depth of my soul I deepen each day.
How frail was I when You formed me,
into my nostrils a soul You did breathe,
fault me none too severely when I lapse
from this world when you call me to leave.
My fabric is torn I do need it mend
I sew but to no avail it doth seem.
Strengthen my stitch with resilient thread,
let my life’s fabric be “le’orech yamim".

“Pleasantness and Praise”
Braid my life to thine I pray,
I seek thy love forever mine.
I promise to make thee all I have,
a home unto His glory divine.
Verses of praise we sing unto Him,
our table is set as on His altar.
Wedded today in our oneness become …
open Thy hand when we falter.
Our days pass into years as we look back,
blessed are our works, our hands You’ve strengthened.
The corners we leave for others to glean.
We pray our children’s days be lengthened.
Pleasantness and Praise may your blessings be aplenty,
"v’shinantam levanecha v’debarta bam",*
each day devotedly in your Avodas HaShem,**
and may Noam love Tehilla and Tehilla … Noam.

Va’yehi erev va’yehi voker yom hashishi …*
We leave with our work unfinished,
our daily worriment we’ve let be
what remains of concern we set to the side,
by week’s end arrives yom ha shishi.
Quicken your efforts lest sunset precede,
our labors have now come to cease.
Welcome the Shekinah, Her presence arrive,
Deep run the waters of Sabbath peace.
A day of respite tending the soul,
upon shulchan we place bread and wine.
Sanctify this moment He creation made
to Thee my soul closer doth pine.
Soar higher than do float the clouds above
His nation beloved on eagle wings’ flight.
a nation of priests whose spiritual odyssey
illumines the world with its light.
