They built me out of fairy tales . . . .
Rapunzel's fine hair a delicate braid around each curve of rib
and altruism
to bind the sleeping princess inside the beauty of her own skin
and did you know and do you care that LittleRed was quite something else indeed
full of woofie shakes with pearl dew across her brow swimming inside the big bad wolf like a bite of the sweetest marmalade pie
and o, my
it's never really what you're told
never
anywhere
everything is bound up or sugar coated with a glaze that looses flavor quick
beneath
and becomes a bland concoction to hide inside the wrapper
rewrap
giggles
and we all do it
sample and spit out and rewrap
swallowing the sweetest currents out of the screen
the moment
MariGo Marigold
spin round and round this modern Venus in the clouds
what a perfect name for a stripper you have
what eyes
what lips puffed sweet by fillers that touch no one
~kissing is a big no-no~
what big eyes full of koi fish scales and dreams
and murrmurring butterflies
whispering
it wasn't ever meant to go this far
nothing ever was
was it?
They built me out of fairy tales
but what they never counted on was that I'd perfect the art
of self cannibalization
what they never counted on was that the world would take me out from underneath the caopy of their dreams and thousand tales
and spin me into something more
across a world so far removed from the whip quick strike of an old crone's hand
the delectable dinners served on fine bone plates of Asia
the tempering nuzzle of a wolf at dawn and dusk
