The first version is the literal translation from my book, "Bible Wisdom: PSALMS of Praise and Power"; the second version is the traditional King James translation; and the third version is based on the new 2007 Spanish Bible, designed for use in Latin America.

132 [133]. Precious Ointment

Bible Wisdom: PSALMS of Praise and Power newly translated from the Greek Old Testament

Hear now! What's so good or so pleasant

as that God's people live together as brothers?

It's like precious ointment poured on Aaron's head,

and running down his beard to the fringe of his robes.

It's like the silvery dew on Mount Hermon

that falls on the hills of Zion.

Here is where the Lord God has promised His blessing:

Life that never ends!

Translating from the Hebrew: King James Version: Psalm 133. A Song of Degrees of David

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard; that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zi'-on: for the Lord commanded the blessing, even life evermore.

Translating from the Spanish of the Biblia de Jerusalén: Psalm 133 (132). Brotherly Union

Look how good it is and how pleasurable

for all to live together as brothers!

2 Like fine oil on the head,

that runs down the beard,

that runs down the beard of Aaron

even to the fringe of his robes.

3 Like the dew of Hermon

which falls on the summits of Sion,

where Yahweh dispenses his blessing,

life forever.

God Is Love
