A poem about someone I know.
Thank you for inspiration. |
|
she brings a teardrop to my eye
the gentle, fragile butterfly
and though i try to find the truth
i know it's all a bitter lie
she finds the strings i've buried deep
the ones that draw me out of sleep
when dreams are empty holes of fear
and fear is all i'll ever need
she smiles a bit, a little one
it stops my heart, it blacks my sun
the ache inside my chest tells me
it's over before it's begun
she looks at me, her eyes aglow
the sadness there is all i know
and yet beneath is something new
a fragile hope begins to grow

Very touching and the butterfly is symbolism for transformation which you have blended well...
Be always safe,
