we know...cheating never pays

Meet me tonight
Furtive plans
Stolen kisses, the guilt
Never quite real
The pain
Someone else’s
Time…never too late
Too early to know
If we would survive
Furtive plans
Stolen kisses
Who knew
We would go so far
And accomplish so little
At night
The heights of our passion
Make us forget
Everything but us
And stolen kisses

It's true. One's judgement is not always at its best when one is in the throes of passion. Thank you, Sue. Love and best wishes,

I fully agree with Felix, Sue. When the home doesn't provide, then love will look someplace else. A very sad poem, because it talks of love's infidelity, but very well written.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), sister Barbie

When hearts are lonely, it matters not that they are bound by a piece of paper...and when two lonely hearts that are without love at home combine...somthing will happen.

you have stated well the emotions of an affair--and the fact that the passion makes us forget all else--well done
