Time Stands Still

Time stands still
From dusk to dawn
I study your face
Before you yawn
Your eyes come alive
To sing our song
Of love and hope
Where we belong

Time stands still
For each pulsating beat
I watch you move
Which for me is a treat
Your body extends
To welcome me near
Your warmth and embrace
Become more clear

Time stands still
Between each breath
I cherish your touch
For what is left
Your skin so soft
Next to where we slept
A fragrance so intoxicating
That I cannot forget

Time stands still
Between each embrace
Iím drawn ever so close
To your beautiful face
Your hair soft and golden
And sweet to taste
A love never ending
Forever without haste

Time stands still
For lovers who pray
That all moments
Will be held at bay
Our songs are the same
For past centuries and today
Our souls ascend
Towards heavenís way
