Today is like any other
So why bother
I sit in a windowless office
Encamped against the precipice
My eyes glazed over
Ready to take cover

Sameness is death to me
Repetition for all to see
Ticks on the clock magnified
Boredom personified
Dreams pervade my thoughts
Happier times are naught

Pull me from this open pit
Give me the courage to quit
A life synonymous with death
Give me one last breath
Remove me from this place
To see His bright-lit face

Iíll take my final bow
Before the wolf cries foul
Forgive me if you can
This wasnít my original plan
Take care and do not fret
I have no regret

Excellent poem, but very haunting! That last verse makes one very uncomfortable. Hope all is well...
If you're bored read my post Savage Beasts Blamed the Least, it might stir some juices, pro or con;-)!

Well you can say this is the perfect description of boredom. Hope something comes along to lift it. Hey you might catch a winning lottery ticket floating by. Could happen you know.
