Forgiveness the noun prevents us from taking action to free our spirit.

A three-syllable word easy to define
But difficult to overcome without humility
A word caught between thin places
Where the visible and invisible world
Arrive at their closest proximity
Gives pause for our disappointments and our blessings
An inevitable truth that affects all human beings
A simple word learned in Sunday school classes
Long ago when we were innocent and trusting
Time burdens and disfigures our thoughts and feelings
Where pride and ego quickly eviscerate our souls
Separating us from humanity and our Maker
Erasing all hurts, pains, and vulnerabilities
A profound word of infinite healing
For those brave enough to venture to thin places
Where paradoxical truths collide into oblivion
For those humble enough to stand in their nakedness
Without armor of resentment and doubt
Forever clinging to something greater than ourselves
A verb clothed as a noun
Prevents us from doing what is right
Until we accept our fallibility and humanness
We will continue to see a noun
That builds a wall between oppressor and oppressed
Take courage and act out the verb to renew your spirit

what a wise write--very well expressed

Keith, these are words of truth and sincerity...I believe the people in this world suffer from their inabilities to say "I'm Sorry." Many carry feelings of hate to their graves because they don't have the courage to utter, "Forgive Me." This is an exceptional write.
