That Distant Voice...

Melody creeping along,
like a river on a cold misty morning
a flute sounds in the distant waters
uttering soft sounds of birds
Can’t you just hear the strings….
running up and down the river,
 enchanting all with emotion
 Harmonious chords working together,
nature creating a musical composition.

Then the storm begins
   the river is getting restless….
 what distant voice I hear
like rain on a sunny day
that distant voice does not agree…..
    I feel the tension
   it speaks louder
and louder, like thunder contending with lightening
to see who can evoke the most fear.

FORTISSIMO, the brasses are like storm waters
 beating the oceans bank
The orchestra is fighting, fighting to be heard,
the cymbals crashing….winds-- cymbals---winds again
sounds are heard antiphon style
suddenly all comes to a rest…..

……….silence is heard

Suddenly it all has stopped…
“the rain”
“the birds”
“storm waters”…”waves and all”
finally a cadenza,
that distant voice is laid to rest.

The river is flowing smoothly once again…
“birds chirping in beautiful lyrical voicing’s”,
singing in harmony,
melodies flowing
together to create a musical masterpiece.

There's nothing as lovely as nature's orchestra. Well expressed, Lavendar. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

oh my this is Excellent. The sounds of nature coming to life interupted by Storm,, silenced as it passed, to be reborn again.
Love this Janice.
