Freedom in a rant...

Free My Mind
©1989

I want to free my mind
Go to a place unknown
Experience things
Never before dreamed

Free my mind
So that I know not
The pain of loneliness
In a world of companions

I want to free my mind
So that all my fears
Will become things
I have experienced and conquered

Free my mind
So that I can love
And give me freedom
To be loved also.

I want to free my mind
So that mere sadness
Will no longer block
My thoughts of happiness.

Free my mind
Today
Free my mind
Tomorrow
Free my mind.

Sis. Jazz, you just described the freedom of being a writer. No muse from XYZ accredited college necessary for any of us to qualify. Enjoyed this seasoned poem!

Allow your mind to soar to heights never reached before, too see what has been unseen, to feel what has been unfelt....

Be always safe,
