A different view of the effect of one particular, memorable experience of watching the setting sun.

                                               Now the day is over,
all the world is at rest.
Through a silence in the air
                                               red Sun sinks slowly
                                               down to night.

                                               In a lake of water,
                                               many images I see,
                                               as colors in the water
                                               bring back some memorie.

                                               Some promises of future
                                               also there for me,
                                               many strong emotions,
as I atand there by the sea.

Then I place my hand in water,
                                               to feel the coolness there,
                                               and better grasp a little
of this picture now so clear.

But when I raise my hand from water,
                                               all so quickly goes away,
just as my hopes and fears go
                                               around me every day.

Great poem

I like the ending! - "Just as my hopes and fears go around me everyday."

I know what you mean by that. We all have hopes, and we all have fears; but like what you have done to the water, you said you have raised it so I can imagine the "Splash" that would come afterwards, which would have created so many patterns of hopes and excitement.

It is true too, we would always have fears that our hopes would not come true.

I like this poem. It is simple, and yet it's full of meanings.
