Signs are abundantly present to warn mankind of the self inflicted disasters that are going to torment and destroy earth, but man does not see, hear or feel. Mankind will have to burn before it will understand.

Mankind continues to wallow in ignorance
Although planet earth is about to explode
The elite continues to inflate its affluence
Against such stupidity thereís no antidote
While the poor die from illness and famine
The prosperous plan to butcher even more
Resourceful in finding ways to do them in
To make sure less will be left than before
Man has become trapped in a killing rage
By destruction building earthí final stage

*******

Structures will crumble and systems will fail
The waters of the seas shall reclaim the land
Scattered with footprints of mankindís ill trail
To wash
away the blood shed by man's hand
The abominations he committed in the name
Of alleged gods that he unwisely worshipped
To whom erasing life was just a wicked game
For which purpose man was amply equipped
With powers and talents he could have used
To care for the ones he maliciously abused

Mountains will move and bury manís cities
Deep below the mass of his rotting waste
Covering along with it his dim propensities
That shamelessly expose his lack of taste
And the rest of his properties that blacken
The pages of mankindís blemished history
That will incite life of the future to reckon
This species lived and murdered in misery
No compassion or patience he has earned
Eagerly begging to be punished and burnt

The echoes of cries that reach for the sky
Sound that man to the instant of his death
Could never comprehend the reason why
He summoned natureís inevitable wrath
A species so vindictive does not deserve
A place to continue to live in linear time
Committing crimes that brutally unnerve
The High Powers in the universe sublime
Who decided earth has suffered enough
Intensely longing for restoration of love

The heavens will burst open to cast fire
Upon a battered and browbeaten earth
Destroying life in a carnage beyond dire
Itís death will pale the pain of its birth
And in the blaze not a trace will remain
Of the sinful spirits that once lived here
Even memories of their infinite disdain
Were destined to completely disappear
So will evil be wiped from the universe
Ending the spell of its dissipated curse

Flooded with light while writing this piece? I think so.
The song that I sometimes use in my writings come to mind when reading this poem.
'Whose that writing?'
John the Revelator.'
'What's John writing?'
'A revelation, a good God and 7 seals.'
In any case I belive that have seen some of what is to be, and you are writing about future events in the above poem.

Hugs,
Judy

Powerfully expressed, Rage. "Dissipated curse" sums it up. The concept of striving for a "civilized society" seems lost midst
an epoch of rapacious greed run amuck.
