While sitting at my desk one day an image flashed into my head of the moors which I love to walk across and there was a drystone wall with the tiniest of flowers growing upon it. This poem was the result.

Oh simple flower upon the wall
Tell me how you came to grow there
How is it you survive the wind and rain
To grow so tall and fair

Oh beautiful flower please tell me
How did Mother Nature create
Somethign so wonderful and perfect
In such a desolate place

But simple flower upon the wall
Your beauty has started to fade
I only hope that next year you'll return
To grow on my wall once again.
