Poem that's in the beginning of Grown Man Publishing's next publication...

Pissed At Da Way’s of the World

Close ya eye’s and envision a life that’s a constant fight

Staying in a home that’s only lit by the suns light

Seems like ya moms beats ya ass on sight

Pissed cause you favor da nigga she only seen one night

Don’t got what choo want barely got what choo need

And fa that moms probably had to perform on ‘er knees

And you think she don’t like you cause at choo you screams

But she’s simply phucked up cause this whatn’t a part of her dreams

Never seen herself tricking to afford clothes on sale

But it’s da reality of black females raising they kids in this hell

Everyday it’s a different worry depending on the sex of the seed

Lil boys is getting killed and lil girls teen pregnancy

Jobs is scarce and Bush could care less

As long as white America stays livin’ da best

Yeah I’m ticked to da tilt and passed pissed off

Especially when they asking why our kids is lost

Da demons inside me came ta life cause I was losing the fight

Beefin’ wit’ a bigger system and couldn’t attain what I like

Myopic views of this cold world gave me limited sight

Pushin’ cains da only means I seen to better my life

Grew to admire the flashy cat’s I’d start ta meet

They pushin’ whips that start wit’ B and numbers distinguish da series

Gave my loyalties to da streets and niggas rolling wit’ me

And da games so deep if heavily involved it comes before ya family

WHAT you think I’m lying stare some time in da face

You gon’ stand strong like a man or tell fa ya kids sake

I knew what was at stake when I started ta play

So regardless of da out date I ain’t got shit ta say

Interrogate me like I got info to spew

And watch me sit mute and stare like fuck you

Da consequences of my actions got me not my faction

I was smilin’ while I was stackin’ so I’ll hold my head while relaxin’

Felt the frustration in that poem. Life can make us feel so beat down, but as long as we're alive, there's hope.
