Advice for 2009

Has someone ever tried to make you feel like your best wasn't good enough

don't give up just because the road is rough

hard work pays off even though sometimes it gets tough

move forward, do the best that you can do

don't listen to negative comments, do what works for you

negativity will only hold you back, keep you down and keep you broke

and that's no joke

I envy the fact you can work so hard, but I am 65 and not much work left in me. Too overweight to move fast or far, and disgusted sometimes. Your verses here helped me to think about what i am missing though. Thanks and keep up the good work, friend.

Your poem had some excellent timing-I didn't even realize I needed this, but your advice was surely what I needed to hear, so thanks for sharing it.

Hello Melony,

I like this "matter-of-fact" poem, it is straight, honest, ....and true.

Amen to that Melony.People should consider themselves ANT(Automatic Negative Thoughts)eaters and just achieve their dreams. One of the hardest things that I learned when I was in college was that not everybody in my family is going to support me in anything that I do in my life because they are so caught up in living their lives through me which they can't do.I understand that they want me to be successful, but I will do it my way and my ways works best for me.I enjoy reading it,take care
