This is the callous truth about love and sex.

What is love?
It is not sex.
They can exist together
Or subsist alone.

What is sex?
It is not love.
They can exist separate
Or subsist together.

What is love?
It is gift from above.
Given freely,
By all that possesses faith.

What is sex?
It is a gift from above.
Given freely,
By One that possesses compassion.

What is love?
It is caring for others
Given freely
Without lust or selfishness.

What is sex?
It is a gift from above.
Given freely
Without love, itís callousness.

What are love and sex?
Why do we confuse them?
Both give comfort,
When we are needy.

If Godís love was more known
His comfort could be found
In our faith
And we would not forsake Him.

I think that the difference between love and sex, especially within a partnership, is unconditional love. Wanting the person you love to be happy EVEN if it means, without you. There are so many varying degrees to love, and once given, how can it be taken back? At the time it was given freely. Circumstances change, but that particular moment still remains in time somewhere.
Sex is basic and a great bonus, but love remains and can grow into a thing far superior.
All the benefits of love can outweigh all the benefits of sex. To grow old with a person you love, 'love' is what makes the closeness prevail!

Wise words. You are so right with this statement why we often mix them up. See love where there is only physical attraction.
Love the way you wrote the key words / using different fonts and colors.

Most interesting and expressive. I strongly seperate the two because sex will die down but if you love someone that love will live on. Take older people for example, sooner or later age catches up but love never dies until death do us apart. joys G

So true! I think you've got it nailed

never be taken for granted.
