Dry Eyes

I have no more tears to cry
you left my eyes wide open
and now they're dry

My eyes like the desert-
void of all rain

tearsducts so dry
to blink brings pain

Cracked and withdrawn eyes
like that of a dry riverbed
Dreams of a rainy season
fill my head

This burning fever upon my crown
awaits the rain to come pouring down
Revitalize the rivers and
let them come racing
In hopes of filling my souls empty basin

And I, will like the dove, fly above
and seek this promised land of love

But, until then, until the rain
should come again
these eyes are dying,
too many nights alone spent crying

I have no more tears to cry
for you these eyes are dry.

Your words speak tomes of sadness, Richard. When loving remembrances come, so shal the rains. Have patience...
