NO AUDIENCE; NO LAUGHTER
HE FALLS FASTER AND FASTER

THE CLOWNS FALL FROM GRACE
EVIDENT BY THE BLACK TEARS
ROLLING DOWN HIS FACE

HE KNOWS NOT WHEN THE
LAUGHTER STOPPED BUT,
NOW IT’S GONE LIKE A
BALLOON THAT POPPED

BLACK TEARS, AS BLACK AS THE
DEEPEST ABYSIS
HIS SOUL DIES FOR IT’S THE JOY OF
LAUGHTER HE’LL MISS

UNCOVERING ALL OF HIS CHILD
LIKE FEARS
ROLLING DOWN HIS FACE ARE
BLACK TEARS

THE BRIGHT AND VIBRANT COLORS WHICH
HELD HIM TOGETHER
ARE NOW SCRAPED AWAY BY
BLACK TEARS FOREVER

THE CLOWNS MAKE-UP RUNS DOWN
NOTHING LEFT-ONLY A FROWN
WITHOUT HIS MAKE-UP NO
LONGER A CLOWN BUT, …A FOOL

This is so sad and heartwrenching, a person whether it be clown or what, losing the respect of his peers.
