Know, every scientific project
Will surely fail its object
And ridicule the very subject.
For example, take the Moon Project;

Some scientists made a rocket
At the cost of people’s pocket.
Hoping for mankind a boon
Some were sent to moon;
They carried all, including a spoon,
With stones, they returned soon.
But they brought not a boon
For those who seek a meal every afternoon;
But waved proudly the used, empty spoon,
And concluded that the moon
Is no good for a honeymoon.
Again, mankind is left to maroon.
But all are happy with those stones,
Like dogs are happy with blank bones.

They are exploring the Mars,
That is full of farce.
Next, they plan to the Saturn;
Many planets are there in turn.
Where as Infinite worlds are there to search
Finite academicians are there to do research,
But people on the earth are left in the lurch.

interesting poem ... it's accuracy is debatable ...

Interesting philosophical thoughts. I partly agree that at times in the name of bacterial fossils on mars (debatable) or iron-ore in Moon type of hype snatches away funds from the needy. I know some science is truly white elephant-esque.
