Here's to unrequited love...

Copyright 2006

Rootless tree, though fruitful
only a lil while will it be
Moi! a water sprinkler, dreamer, idealist
My heart still hoping, believing and praying
for roots that grow never
for fruits that ripen never
I'l toil the soil, bring the rains
i'l harvest the fruit, cleanse your leaves
for a hereafter, hearts flutter
Wishful thinking, my lonely mind
this lovely piece, my PEACE shattered

In wither, I sow
on a pedestal, I place thee
one higher, wouldn't suffice,
Run my heart, run my soul
weary yet needy
beat up and moody.
Those dreams, I believe
Fantasies! some call it,
make it happen, rootless tree-
a fairy tale turn reality
a teary tone turn happy tone

Rootles tree, my beliefs...
the sun will shine,
the roots will grow,
the fruits will bloom,
my wishes someday.
If through it all, my plea someday
heard and answered, my loving tree
bring me close, entirely, wholly
to bud and blossom, to age, then wither
Turn rootful, turn loving, turn mine, mine only
my rootless, rootless, tree!!
