Walk Toward The Light

This is poem I wrote about being in a
abusive relationship.

Up in the midnight hours, tears streaming down my face, I lay trembling oh no it's to late,I feel the stabbing pain, oh God not again.

Hitting me harder with each blow I would have left him but I had no where to go,

I feel the blood pouring from my body,  I can hardly make another step,
Lord help me, relieve me of this life of misery and possible death,

I,m lying all alone now battered and bruised;once again I,ve been abused
I close my eyes and I shutter from fright; I hear a voice say walk toward the light,

Now my child it's time to rest, I did not create you for this mess, I love you my daughter with an everlasting love, I will heal your hurts just look above, I have heard your cry,I have seen your tears, I have come to wash away your fears.

Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, I am the one who loves you most, come I have need of you, I will show you wonderful and marvelous things, come now my daughter you were not created to be slaughtered, battered, bruised, mistreated and abused.

I love you ,I have need of you, I will save you and change your life, come walk toward the light,I,m waiting daughter, what you ask who am I, am your Lord and Saviour  Jesus Christ

Sharon, I'm hoping you post more soon. I know you have a lot to share.
This is one of those terrible, wonderful poems. It's heartbreaking to read of your abuse, but oh, how tenderly and lovingly God reminds you that He is with you. At times like these, I believe His heart breaks, too.
Keep walking toward His light. God bless you.

From brokenness to wholeness, from darkness to light, from bondage to freedom, from despair to hope- All who come to Him, He will never drive away, as this poem confirms in the end lines. "May He give you the desire of your heart and make your plans succeed." Psalm 20:4
