Stumped!
He's out, they say
Back to the pavilion with the lad.
A bunny with the bat is all he is
Why would the captain choose him?
A failure with bat and ball.
Hasn't ever been good at anything!
Deep in depression, they say
Back on his feet is just where he can't get.
A man without hope is what he is
But the captain gave him a chance
And he leaves the pitch with a small smile.
