Spoiled Brat!

What do you say to someone who's always wanting more, and never happy when she gets it?
You're an angry spoiled child,
ungrateful for what you've got;
Unhappy with all that you have,
wanting the things you've not!
Ask and beg for objects you want
and plead to feed your hunger.
Why shouldn't you have it now?
You're not getting any younger.
You're so pampered and coddled
with your immense hoarded cache;
Gifts received are tossed aside,
Dreams of happiness thrown away.
Throw another fit, my dear,
You might just get what you want.
Amass your matters in a pile,
all the more for you to flaunt.
Pout or cry if fits don't work
Because tantrums cause a scene.
Do anything to get what you want
and refuse to be unseen.
Bad tempers might change their minds
If they've had just about enough.
Still there's no need to be thankful,
Don't you deserve all that stuff?
When you've nearly given up
and you've almost conceded,
Look! There it is right there,
Because you begged and pleaded.
The prize is just what you asked for,
what you coveted in every detail;
But then again, you knew it would;
Your Highness will always prevail.
Will you accept the gift and smile,
Can you finally be happy with that?
Or will you find something else,
another reason to be a brat?
"Can't you just be happy?" I yelled
as I looked at her in disgust.
Then I polished the hazy figure
and cleaned the mirror of dust |

| I love the raw way you can look at yourself. We all need to have those moments in which we examine ourselves with critical eyes, then EXHALE, wipe off our backsides and start anew on the journey. I commend this kind of writing - and contrary to popular comments, I don't see it as bitter at all - just honest, open, raw and healing. |

A little bitter, are we, Bryt? :)
Must be your sister. I have daughters 12 and 13, and the squabbles are unbelievable.
You are both very pretty, if you don't mind me saying so...if you mind me saying so, then I guess I take it back. :)
