A prayer reflecting what has happened to the New Orleans Saints in penalties by the NFL re: the recently acknowledged "Bounty System" for giving financial incentives to players at games for taking out opposing players in aggressive defensive play.

"Who Dat?! say we can't forgive them Saints, Who Dat?! Who Dat?!"

Since our beloved "bountiful" New Orleans Saints
Have also openly acknowledged being sinners
Will the bag-heads return to hide what taints
Or will we go on without Payton being winners?

It's surely now time for repentance and fasting
Our NFL Lenten journey will certainly be a pain
But the Loom(-is)ing shame won't be everlasting
The Benson Boogie will come back again

Easter's joy and redemption helps and gives us much hope
Forgiveness is surely tough but still a "Brees" and our goal
We'll go "marching in" to heaven and even invite the Pope
To "bless them boys" at their upcoming hometown Super Bowl!
