For Sweet Sandy May Angel, poetry's flower...and all who suffer for sharing their goodness with others.
Slanderous slashing hog-washing monsters,
Gaping jowls dripping with venomous hate,
Stinging scorpions wound the desert bloom,
Sweet Sandy, May's flower - indignant fate.
Howling monkeys spew forth dangerous doom,
Their saliva showering us with innocent blood,
Scoffs of laughter rain harm on a tender reed,
Covering the Earth with vile obscenity's' flood.
Mockers of humankind's goodness,
Destroyers of our child-like faiths,
Monikers of greed, filthy pig faces,
Dark lightning bolts of evil wraiths.
Tragedy's silver-thorned bloody rose red,
Ruined by cankerous worms fattened fed,
Lying trampled and broken on the ground,
Reality's fangs ripping the heart to shreds.

|There will always be people like that. It's too bad but it's probably why we also continue to have senseless wars. Thank you, Rockie. Love and peace,

|In the end, to me, Rockie, it is the "tender reed" itself who may destroy its world. But, at least there is hope, one tender reed can beget another.
Oh, something is underlying this piece, it certainly struck my mind, being an author of such as such myself.

|Sometimes comments are just misunderstood and to the source, when possible we should go. This den is a wonderful place to be, filled with so many talented and wonderful people....
Be always safe,

|A jolly good rant...makes me feel worse for the "monsters" though...|

|I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have anything better to do than to attack others, especially sensitive souls like Michelle Kidwell or Sandie Angel; i pray I never say anything malicious about anyone! They are both in my prayers, and so are those who attack; I pray that they realize what they are doing and apologize; that's only the right thing to do. This attacking other writers here has got to stop, and the sooner, the better! Well penned, Rockie!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

Words can be taken out of context, many forget words can hurt and feelings get wounded. Maybe not intentional (hope not) but dang, sometimess, ya just gotta let it out ... but then regret it when you do. I pray my words never injure or kill.
This is excellently rhymed and penned; reminds me of a classic. It has that kind of feel to it - maybe Olde English or Middle Ages, that's what came to mind, reading these lines. Well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

It's okay. It's nothing. Really...I have been in the den for so long, no one is really of "evil" here. They're just misunderstood!!! Some have been friends for ages because we been here in the den everyday. We fight and we made up.
I think we all have goodness within ourselves, and I have to say that no matter who you are, there is always a good side in everyone, but sometimes it is just buried too deep within oneself because we let the negativity takes over.
On our shoulders, one side is seated an angel, and the other side is seated a "devil", we will have to make sure the side of the "devil" doesn't win.
My friends are still nice people and not of "evil".
However, I really like this poem, even though I would not applied this to my friends.
