Once upon a time there was a defense industry in America,
It fell on hard times when the politicians sold out to China,
Saying the tanks, guns and planes just cost too much.
"Better red than dead," they said, back in the day,
But some still thought the price for our freedom could not be finer.
NY NY, called 911! The dancing girls hid under their beds.
Rockettes have lost their high kicks...
Look out Wilma, Freddy's dead.
I thought twas just a nightmare,
But then I woke up feeling dread.
Kooky words here just will not do,
Perhaps a poem or rhyme, or limerick or two,
Would fill up our aching hearts and heads,
Better than Facebook, CNN, or Fox's talking heads.
Obama, Dems, 'Publicans, Lend me your ears!
Dem's sho' 'nuff Rockie roads ahead,
Think we should be cryin' or start to bawl?
No. Let's throw up on them instead!

Perhaps it is time to stop thinking Democrat - Republican and start thinking about our country and do what is RIGHT for a change. Now there is a novel thought, huh? Love the piece, right to the point...

| Rockie a little miffed, no Rockie the realist who with such visions of how it should how it could be again realizes how we Americans are allowing it to be. Keep writing Rock maybe, just maybe others will read and start to really listen and one by one we Americans can correct all the wrongs we have submitted ourselves to. Love your open honest thoughts and the suttle way you share them with all of us. RIGHT ON!!!!! |
