I used to get upset with people who would "rush" the Christmas season. Maybe it's all the work we have done on our Christmas cantata---this poem came to me this afternoon.
|
THOSE THREE WISE MEN
The sky was black
On that eerie night
We wondered then
What was that sight?
There was a star
That led the way
Those three men
They stopped to pray
Those Three Wisemen
Who came to see
A sight to share
With you and me
They each brought gifts
To share with You
They saw a babe
So brand new.
In the manger
on that night
That tiny babe
What a sight.
How could we know
When we saw His face
He’d be the one
To change this place?
We offered frankincense
And myrrh
On that night
No one did stir.
The eastern light
That guided them
Is there until
He comes again.

I try to enjoy all of life as it comes. Our outdoor decorations and the indoor trees, as we put up and decorate two, one in the den and one in the living room. They are all put up based on birthdays because the children used to ask to have the tree up for their birthday and I would try to accommodate. Even though the children are grown and on their own, the tradition continues. It is more like holding on and savoring the moment rather than rushing the season along. For the one true man who changed the course of history, his birth is worth savoring....
Be always safe,
Karen |

| I too rushed the season this year. Kids put tree up here in apt and I decorated table etc this morning. Early, but last year I was not in a good mood to have much at christmas, this year is different and I'll enjoy Christmas more, making it last longer in fact. nice verse here those wisemen were lucky to see baby jesus in person. Great night that was for them. |
