THROUGH A CHILDS EYES
Nothing looks the same
When you see what a child
Does see
There are monsters in the closet
Waiting there for me.
She never walks
She runs or skips
Yelling out with joy and glee.
In her small world,
Not caring if the world should see.
She holds her little arms up high
And says I need a hug.
She melts my heart
Giving quite a tug.
She sees the world a happy place
And she shows it on her smiling face.
Her brown eyes sparkle like the sun
With a radiant glow full of fun.
That’s my Jenna
Who won my heart
From the first day
Right from the start.
She’s bigger now
Can’t you see
She’s Leah’s big sister
She holds the key
Now there are two of them
To steal my heart
I’ve loved them both
From the very start.
