A Pastor's Heart
by Eddie Thompson

Most books teach ordinary people how to become extraordinary pastors. This one suggests those extraordinary pastors need to remain ordinary people...

In the heat of battle,
I'll forget all about me,
if any message tears up love and friendship...
I've already accepted pain coming to me.
Not to hold back, anything that I feel.
I want my message to be heard.

Life isn't easy,
But more fair and just than anyone thinks.
It's hard to give anyone hurt feelings.
But it's harder to change the things you brought yourself up to be.
Being #1 isn't all about me.
Cause I can't live in such a corrupt place,
Waiting for nothing to save me.
I refuse to live in a place,
Powered entirely by greed.
Being #1 is about giving the world, Everything it never gave me.

Know the differance between right and wrong.
And the values of love and hate.
In the heat of battle,
Those four things will decide the outcome,
That's going to decide fates.
