are you still waiting there at the gate?
where reality and dreams merge fond
warming your hands from ancient fate
in the aspiration of this distant bond

are you settled in for the winter cold?
when April is on the edge of spring
where others before you fail to hold
on a precipice where hope must cling

are you perched on a limb as a lullaby?
where disappointment once took its toll
a brittle song that time seeks to nullify
that pacifies the heart of a kindred soul

are you lingering fast to an eternal hope
that our Creator would not turn his ear
away from pleas that may help us cope
or is your motive merely drawn by fear?

Excellent questions, those that we are or should be asking ourselves.
I see the date on this is March... I wondered how I missed such a gem then it occurred to me - I've had my head in the coal mine for too many months now.

I BELIEVE THAT WE ALL ARE 'WAITING' FOR SOMETHING AND OUR REASONS FOR THIS 'WAIT' DIFFERS AS MUCH AS NIGHT DIFFERS FROM DAY. ONLY GOD KNOWS...AND ULTIMATELY, THIS IS A GOOD THING. THANKS FOR SHARING, AMOR. JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

there's alot of reasons why one 'waits' for what seems impossible but its probably a little bit of 'everything' that steels the spine. thanks for sharing.

This is indeed a piece of wordsmithing that allows multiple identities for the reader. Regardless of one's beliefs, your words here afford a confirmation of integrity's power. Sadly, we live in a world where integrity is waning. Well done. Thank you for posting.
