The Inner Man
By Myrtle Poor
Don't judge me by what you see,
But look and search the soul of me.
Inside my soul there lives a man
Who holds, every problem in His hands.
He set my fear and doubts to flight
As the fragrance of a springtime night.
In this world I am alone,
But in my soul He is at home.
His love can light the darkened sky
And put a shinning light within my eyes.
When I have to weep, because grief
From within my soul He does retrieve.
He gently guides my every purpose.
As He leads me into worship.
With His love and protection,
I will strive each day, for true perfection.
My outward man has no attraction,
But my inner man is satisfaction.
