What I stood for doesn't exist any more
It was knocked down, spit on, to this bloody floor.
They broke it down too far in this war
Though many people choose to ignore
This truth, my everyday reality.
They cripple me down to both my knees
These blood filled tears of pity I cry for my enemies
And for the people that will not open their eyes and see
The bruises left on the little boy down the street
That his alcoholic father with each beer beats
The fifteen year old sitting beside you in that seat
Forced by her boyfriend into prostitution to make ends meet
We live on the same dirty and broken Earth
As the AIDS infected mother giving birth
A mother to be destroys her fetus so she'll have a still-birth
To far along for an abortion and the baby had no worth
Where a man took some ones friend and taped
Her mouth while she cried out to be helped
Beat her down and there she was raped
The burden on society thugs
That two in the mourning exchange slugs
Over trying to hustle some drugs
That just needed more guidance not cold shoulders
And as you grow just a little bit older
Animals are tested on so you won't get wrinkles
The innocent man doing twenty-five to life
That the jury found guilty of killing his wife
A mother's baby boy because of a strife
Is alone dying of a wound from a knife
The slaves that still exist on this Earth today
Reluctantly their masters they obey
Never ever will their own anguish
Never ever will it diminish
Against the disease that they cannot compete
A cancer patient slowly feels their defeat
A high school student feeling the pressure's heat
tries to find beauty between bed sheets
On his scared body of fire burns
You refuse to look, listen and learn
Because his face makes your stomach turn
The man being gay bashed around the corner
The spit on, kicked down loyal foreigner
They're just trying to live peacefully on this planet
With their loved ones you need to understand it
You will see Karma will come around and get you
These people are like souls of tigers at a zoo
That is broke down
Without hope now
Their tears will now fall
Cries for help they call
For your help as you turn your head
In your Ignorance the worlds pain will not end.
