What if I told you I was afraid to cry?
But every night I seem to have rain storm eyes.
Cut through my skin and let me bleed out,
Gut my body so my soul can shout.
Let me fall far from grace into nothing,
Forget about me and let my world sting.
Wet my hand with your tears while I'm lying,
Omit my wrongs and heal my broken wing.
Take me from this addiction I cannot elude,
Break me from its grip from a death so crude.
Make my body no longer depend on it's food,
Wake my body from the pain it's subdued.
Show me the light through eyes so clear,
Sow my afflicted wounds from my fear.
Throw away the life that I once endured,
Know that what I was, you have cured.

|Nice writing... I feel your pain in this poem and I can relate to the premise of the story. I too am afraid to cry. Keep writing and welcome to Author's Den.|
