Whilst surfing the net I found a great site .... poetic forms, click on, put in words, VOILA ... a poem appears. Well mebbe not REALLY a poem.

Forget it
You must be kidding
I ain't no poet
I can't rhyme
I dunno how
I don't wanna
I've got to get this review done
I'm afraid I'll look silly
My coffee will get cold
The dog wants in, out, something to eat
Time's up? Uh oh!
All I have is a dumb list of excuses.

You like it? Really? No kidding.
Thanks a lot. Would you like to see another one?

YES, MJ, I REALLY LIKE IT...NO KIDDING. EVEN WHEN A WRITER HAS NOTHING TO SAY...THAT'S SOMETHING!...AND...EVEN THOUGH THE 'GIFT' RESIDES IN US...IT IS THE 'GIFT GIVER' THAT DOES THE WORK THROUGH US...SO, YOU ARE RIGHT...'WE' CAN'T WRITE BUT THE GIFT GIVER CAN.
THANKS FOR SHARING AND GOD BLESS. LOVE, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

I understand. Rhyme is a lot of work and sometimes the fun of poetry runs away when rhyme arrives. Besides, no kidding, poetry is more than just rhyme. Poetry is like a word painting. So much can be "painted" with a few well chosen words. We don't have to write books for everything.

You mean you filled in the blanks by simply writing anything? Funny result, not taking itself too seriously.

This is really cute! You don't have to rhyme to be a poet - all you have to do is put your emotions on paper so that others can see and feel what you do. Well done!

Proper form is in the mind of the one who can't draw outside the lines. Your write is life as it happens. No rhyme or reason most days, it just unfolds that way. Lady J
