here's to our heros locked in battle

Flying wingman for my brother

Fighting for the rights of another

For those who don't

And those who care

I serve my neighbors from the air

You cannot know

(nor would you want to)

Fear not finite as they hunt you

Two bogies, as if on cue

Arrive for a fight which will now ensue

Seeking spoils of the first mistake

Both praying he, not I, will make

I win, though victory seems not so

As he is dead, and free I go

Taking comfort, finding peace

In a lone thought which I lease

I tell myself, to feel no curse

I had no choice, save come off worse

So to all by who I'm hated

I will that you heed what's been stated

Though I disagree with what you say,

So you can say it, I'll die any day
