FREEDOM OF FLIGHT
I have flown in the white wisp of the clouds
And shared the glory every hawk enshrouds.
I was born just a man who walks
But I’ve had my moment in the life realm of the hawk.
Setting sun, painting pictures ‘cross the sky
Makes me long for the freedom to fly.
I look at men, scared to live and sorry to die
Who will never know what a wonder it is to fly.
BREAK
To lift from earth and feel your heart swell
Is a thrill no man can tell.
And to land again
As if guided by some magic mystic hand.
My sadness turns to joy,
Joy becomes boy,
And boy,
Becomes man!
