This poem has interesting rhyme and meter that, to me, expresses the collective heartbeat of a group ritual. Its steady progression follows the same path as a rite, building energy and releasing it into the world. Strong tea           Goddess tea

Pale green and crowned with steam.

I fast and pray           Meditate

And for the pregnant moon i wait.

Salt and water           Song and laughter

Invocations to the Mother.

Peaceful night           Holy night

Blinking stars and firelight.

Paint and skin           We begin

Drums without, belief within.

Late hour           Leafy bower

In the circle we raise the power.

We must try           Words fly.

Hands are lifted toward the sky.

We sing           Name the thing

The Universe is listening.

A vivid picture of many surrounding, feasting and dancing around in a circle inhaling all the mysticism of the evening, well versed...
