Love Me Forever

I told you I pushed people away
You say you won't let that happen
Then why aren't you here with me
Love me forever, I'm running to you now

I don't know what I'm doing
I have no idea why I'm here
I'm standing in the rain
Begging you to come outside

I'm not sure of what to say
The pain inside won't go away
I need you back in my life
Please don't close the door

I know that I'm not perfect
That I've hurt you in the past
I shouldn't be here I know
I can't leave now that I'm here

I try to speak, nothing comes out
I try to look you in the eyes
To show you why I'm here
Forced smile, tears run down my face

And as I drop to my knees
Landing in a puddle of mud
You run to me, say not to cry
With the rain pouring down on us

I grab you tight, hold you close
Whisper in your ear, promise I'll keep
You make me better, make me whole
My secrets I'll share with you

With everything in me exposed
All of my wrongs in the open
The warmth of your touch
I know you'll love me forever

Nicely done, reminds me of a song...
"Who left the cake out in the rain."

Aaron, this is a complete statement of so many different things. It's a write that speaks loudly to all of ones senses. Thanks for sharing. Lisa
