This poem is in memory of five year old DeAndre Barksdale. He lived in Newport News, Virginia, but was visiting his grandparents in Alton, Virginia. On December 28th, he wondered from his grandparents home. He was last seen playing with puppies in his grandparents backyard. He was found on New Year's Day 1.5 miles from his grandparents home in a heavily wooded area. He had died from exposure. Pray for his family who's going through such torment . He is from a religious family, and they called DeAndre "Little Preacher Man" . The Lord needed another angel...he has one in this precious child.

Come into my light, sweet little child
Rest your weary soul for awhile
I know you are tired and so cold
Follow me my son, into my fold

Come into my light, dry your tear's
My warmth will calm all your fears
I'll send my angel to hold your hand
Come into my light, little preacher man

The angels are singing , can you hear
As you lay quietly they are near
They will stay until your fears are gone
Waiting silently to carry you home

I'll send my angel to hold your hand
Come into my light, little preacher man

It always hurts when a young child dies for seemingly no reason. We in the UK have only just put the Soham murders to bed with the gaoling of the culprits.

Lovely tribute Linda
