Cinderella was ever so sweet,
Even though she had it hard,
And she was ever so neat,
But she is always on guard.

She always did what she was told,
With blue eyes so pretty,
And hair really gold,
Her looks need no pity.

But her step sisters they need it,
For they are not pretty
And their hair is not gold.
They don’t have to do what their told.

Her father left daily,
Leaving her behind,
But Cinderella didn’t care because she was ever so kind.

The ball came around,
And they all got invited,
The step sisters wanted to go because the prince had a crown,
The sisters were delighted.

Even though Cinderella was invited,
She could not go,
Because what would happen when she was sighted?
So she was left to sew.
Their new dresses and new things,
Her confidence really low,
Her heart suffered many stings.

Then came the day of the ball,
The step sisters all got ready,
Cinderella was stuck on their beck and call,
And she was sad already.

She wished she could go,
But the sisters said no,
For what would she wear?
She was left in despair.

As soon as they left,
She started to cry,
Then came a heavy sigh.

“My dear girl why are you so sad? ”
Her godmother said quietly.
And Cinderella explained.
“Why don’t you go” she said brilliantly.

And Cinderella left with just a warning,
To be back by midnight.

She met the prince and had a marvelous time,
She fell in love,
But left with the sound of the chime.

But she dropped a shoe,
And the prince found it,
And was given a clue,
He went around the land trying to find a women who fit.

He searched from house to house you see,
To find the princess of his dreams,
For he thought he could find no one as sweet as she,
And he was right it seems.

So then he found her,
The stepsisters were appalled,
And kept saying “Sir no sir”
For it was Cinderella who was called.

She showed him the glass slipper,
And he asked at once what happened to her clothes,
And the godmother came at a nipper,
And changed her clothes to a dress that flows.

They got married,
So she was now a queen,
The step sisters came and begged her not to be mean.

And she said “I forgive you for what you did”
And her sisters were quite surprised,
For they expected her to of them be rid,
And for them to be despised.
