What if God decided to take away the sun?
What if He decided to take away the moon?
What if God decided to take His love out of the hearts of man?
What if He decided many years ago not to give his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, so that we could have have everlasting life?

If there was no sunshine, we would all be in darkness
If there was no moon, how empty of brilliance the sky would be
If there was no love, then everyone in the universe would be oozing with hatred
If there was no Jesus, then there would be no us
If there was no Jesus, there would be no babies
If there was no Jesus, there would be no parents
If there was no Jesus, there would be no sunshine or moonlight
If there was no Jesus, there would be no Authorsden
If there was no Jesus, there would be no authors
If there was no Jesus, there would be no worthy sacrifice to save this world from sin
If there was no Jesus, then there would be no you and me. . .

But Jesus Christ does exist!
And because of that fact:
There is a sun that shines everyday
There is a moon that brightens the nightly sky
There is love in the hearts of human beings
There are beautiful babies that love to be cuddled
And there are parents that want the best for their children
And there is an Authorsden for all of us to enjoy
There are many fabulous authors that have wonderful stories to tell
There is salvation for our souls
Because Jesus Christ is the worthy sacrifice. . .
It's amazing to remember time and time again

We are because Jesus Christ is and forever shall be!
