In remembrance to those fighting brave from wars past and present. My prayers are with each of you and may God keep you safe from harm. This picture is Tommy Moon, taken 1970 in Vietnam

Since God formed the miracle of beauty and such

And created hills and valleys with His mighty touch

I am reminded of Francis Scott Key

Who wrote the words, "Oh, say can you see."

I see Ira Hayes, the Marine who came to be

All the astronauts who soared in space

The moon walk with Old Glory, secure there in its place.

This land we call America is squarely in our hands

So, let's raise the flag and sing those words

And be proud for which it stands.

America the Beautiful is freedom

With the right to praise our God

Lady Liberty will guide you homeward

While fleets of battleships stands the guard.

I'm proud to say the USA

Is the land that I call home

And I pledge allegiance to our flag

As one, we all should stand.

Old Glory waved its banner as our men went off to war

The women labored long and hard, in steel mills smelting ore.

Until the final victory, we proudly stood our stand

To complain there was no need, our honor said it all.

Our American Dream played out, as mighty battles toiled

Our men displayed courageous souls, there on foreign soil.

We fight our battles everyday in dreams of greater things

While those mortal men and women do fight to pave our way.

To all the men and women who fight so valiantly

I thank you for the liberty America has today.

So, I shall raise Old Glory

And let her proudly wave

And remember I am an American

Because our soldiers guide the way.

Yes, I'm proud to say the USA

Is the land that I call home

And I pledge allegiance to our flag, one nation under God.

To all of those who gave their all

And heard the Mighty call

I lift you up and sing your praise

On this Memorial Day.

They always have, and you honor them well, Joyce.
