I've always revered the majestic Crow! And I've seen them on occasion by the "thousands" awesome spectacle!

Direction due east,

Ebony feathers aflame

Crows seize the sunset!

Darkness cloaks the trees

Every branch supporting crows

Murder in slumber!

Crows and ravens are such great birds for we poets to use as characters in our work...intelligent and sleek with a mystery that Mr. Poe brought into being. Well done Anna

Ravens are cool, especially when they do their tongue clucking/clacking sound. I saw a couple of them helping themselves to the trash barrels last Friday before the trucks picked them up. Patrick

As I write there are over 200 crows on my street, cawing and calling. They don't move when you approach and are very bright. I stared at one and he looked up. I imagined him saying "What are you looking at? We have been flocking her for 500 years"

We often get a murder near my work in the late afternoon and evenings.
If I make a cell phone call people can't hear me over the din. I am so happy to be so often in a place where these amazing birds gather- maybe to gossip about us.
Much enjoyed.
