I'm a compound man with a complex soul But I love the simple things The way the wheat waves in the wind Little birds with their magical wings The diamonds found on ocean swells And the alabaster snow The magic spell of a summer's eve Bathed in sundown's afterglow The loving lick from a puppy-dog Or a kitten asleep on your arm The magic that's found in these wonderful things Are what give this old world all its charm The knowledge that I have a wonderful son A home-and a warm loving wife Are a magical balm to my spirit Simple treasures in this complex life!
