monosyllabic words...

Recital

The clarity of night composes

a reserve of immortal verse;

cricket anthologies burst

in our dustless eyes, in

a recital of hands we hold

monosyllabic words...

In a morning of accents, the sun

is a syntax;

Untouchable geese

return.

From nowhere, you appear

where I am

A foreign citizen, barely

touching land.

Divorced from Sitwell's

..."sky rhinocerous glum",

we are two strange birds

in this constant hum ...

Welcome back Deborah. And what a thought-provoking and beautifully imaged poem this is too. I hope all is well. 'Recital' sings clearly in the heart.
Blessings ...
Richard
