That year I was going through a very difficult time. It seemed as if my family was falling apart and my husband was beginning to experience the first stages of Alzheimer's. Everyone around me was struggling in their personal lives and this was even in the church. I was having a hard time sensing God's presence.

Lord, I don't know if I can go on
This life we're living seems so hard
The struggles wear me down
And my body is so tired

Why can't I see your face?
I keep looking, seeking to find
A place where I can go
Away from this daily grind

I look for peace, it seems so far
And darkness keeps coming in
Help me make it Lord
So I can make it to the end

Everywhere I go, I see the pain
People are hurting,and crying
There's fighting, and depression
And yet I keep on trying

I want a place where I can see
The Light and find some hope
Yet it keeps slipping away
When I'm just trying to cope

Lord help me to hang on to you
Even when I can't see your face
Let me feel your presence
As I look for you in this place

I did read your latest and see who you finally did make it with him til the end. You had a loving wonderful hubby, and remembrances will be with you of him forever.
